What is your favorite thing about working at ClearTrust?

I appreciate the company culture and environment. The company understands that their employees have lives outside of work and that our home lives may require our time and attention. ClearTrust realizes that allowing for some work-life balance builds loyalty and commitment.

How do you relax after a hard day of work?

I relax by taking a long walk with my dog and spending time with my family. I talk sports with my children or watch a sporting event.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Pay it Forward: At least once in your life, you should reach out to someone less fortunate by either paying for their meal or offering them food. There is nothing more satisfying than helping out a stranger in need.

A person can spend their time in a way that makes them feel beneficial, well-rounded, engaged fully in life, and a productive human being. The way a person chooses is dependent on their creativity, energy, and enthusiasm.

What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?

I like to communicate in person, I feel that a face to face conversation is the purist way to communicate. There is no reading between the lines, you can rely on facial expressions and body language. A text and email are impersonal and it’s difficult to establish a true connection.

What is one of your favorite smells?

The smell of the ocean because it provides me a feeling of peace and relaxation. The smell in the freshness of a pine tree on the first day of December. It smells like the great outdoors. The tree has a unique smell; it smells like Christmas on the outside and the outdoors on the inside.

Have you ever given to any charities?

Yes, I have given to local, children and disaster relief charities.  There are so many charities vying for donations so I rely on Charity Watchdogs to guide my decision in giving. I want some peace of mind that my donation is going towards their charitable missions.

What do you want to be remembered for?

As a loving husband and father, and a great friend. As an honest person that put others before himself. Someone who's leadership qualities and successes were driven by compassion and ambition for others. Those are the qualities that are most important to me that I strive towards in life and are how I would most like to be remembered.

The importance of family in my life.
