What is your favorite thing about working at ClearTrust?

The idea of coming to a work environment of cooperation and support as it has become like a second home. We get to enjoy small pranks, free of retaliation and judgement, and the fact that we are able to speak our minds even if disagreements arise.

What fictional place would you most like to go?

The Hercules constellation as I had always loved the story of Hercules when I was a child.

What is your primary motivation to go to work every morning?

To praise the Lord through my work and be able to see the little intricacies of His beauty in the mundane. I look forward to sharing His grace with others when the opportunity arises.

How do you relax after a hard day of work?

Watching a great film with my family, especially if it is a movie with great music (such as orchestrated ones like The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, the Matrix, Inception, etc.). There is so much power to be felt in the soundtracks of great films.

What is special about the place you grew up?

It’s the people, the food and the memories that really get you. There is nothing like the freshness and flavors of Colombia. The amount of tropical fruits and the uniqueness of the food is out of this world. In other words fresh, fresh, fresh… and healthy!

What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home?

The other side of the world: Asia and Africa were totally not on my radar but there I was. To be able to see and understand a bit of those cultures that are completely different from mine gives me a better perspective and understanding on the vastness of this planet called Earth. These trips were truly a gift from God.

Who inspires you to be better?

My Lord, Jesus Christ is the one who helps me to rise above the norm, to not be conformed to this world that asks too much but offers very little in return.

What would you do if you knew you were going to die in one hour?

Pray for my spirit, my family and give thanks for all the experiences I was given. Also I would love to say farewell to my family and get one last back rub by the wife of my youth.

What’s the last adventure you went on?

I visited 5 countries in Asia with our friends from that region in 15 crazy days. This required a lot of flying but it was well worth it. On this trip I realized that many of the old customs that I had read about in the Old Testament are still in practice today. I saw some scary stuff but also couldn’t be happier to discover in a deeper sense that the Bible is full of truth.

What’s the best thing you got from your parents?

Encouragement to always do better and that no matter what I can always count on them. Also the ability to let me choose “most” of the times, as this freedom has been a great gift. I get to wonder if this freedom of choice was inscribed in their hearts by our true Father in Heaven.
