What is your favorite thing about working at ClearTrust?
My favorite thing about working at ClearTrust is how open and accepting the environment is. It is such a healthy work environment with zero judgement where everyone’s ideas and opinions are equally important, allowing everyone to be heard and cared about. Something that I have never experienced at a work place before.
What are some small things that make your day better?
Spearmint Orbit gum and knowing that tomorrow is a guaranteed chance to start over.
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Go to a country you’ve always wanted to visit, go to a local authentic restaurant, and try the weirdest sounding thing on the menu.
What is special about the place you grew up?
England is a hub of history and knowledge, there was always a castle to visit with its own special history and story to tell. I spent every weekend traveling to a new part of the country, or to a different country to experience as much as possible. It is truly magical being able to be transported to a different era by walking into a castle.
What risks are worth taking?
Any risk to reach a personal goal you are passionate about is worth taking. You can always get up and try again if it doesn’t work out the first time.
What’s the best and worst thing about getting older?
The worst thing about getting older is getting tired. The best thing about getting older is all the knowledge you collect over the years.
What’s the last adventure you went on?
This isn’t my last but it’s one of my favorites. I camped for a week with some very good friends on the edge of Lake Havasu. Being out in the wild, hours away from civilization was a refreshing break. It was filled with swimming, my first-time tubing down river, games and some of the best bonfires.
Have you ever saved someone’s life?
I saved a child’s life in England. She was in my classroom and had respiratory problems. She stopped breathing and I gave her CPR until paramedics arrived.
Which of your scars has the best story behind it?
This is probably the most embarrassing story I have that came with a scar. I was helping my mom hang a wall paper boarder in a VERY tiny bathroom. She’s very short and couldn’t reach one part of the wall that the toilet was in front of. So, I stood on the toilet lid (on the sides so I wouldn’t break it) to help reach, she also stepped one foot on the toilet lid and it broke. I fell through it barefoot cut the bottom of my foot and banged up my shin, luckily my mom was fine. I spent that New Year’s Eve in the E.R. having plastic cleaned out of the bottom of my foot, having a good laugh with the whole staff.
What are the top three things you want to accomplish before you die? How close are you to accomplishing them?
The top three things I want to accomplish before I die would be,
1. Travel to every continent. I have traveled to 3 out of 7.
2. It’s silly but, to own a Subaru WRX STI.
3. Face as many fears as possible. I am still very afraid of snakes and heights so I’m not sure I’ll ever accomplish this one.
